July top coaching tip - self audit your week to help you prioritise what is truly important

It’s so easy to get caught up in the “should do’s” and the “have to’s” and for our to-do lists to take over.  Before we know it the week is over and although we have done loads, we don't always feel like we have actually achieved what we wanted to.

Moving more to the “want to” end of the spectrum means we find things more satisfying and rewarding and are working on things that complement our values.

A bit of informal auditing is a great way of more consciously managing your time.  Once a week, roughly audit how you spent your time over the last week.  What percentage of your time did you spend on:

  • Self-care
  • Chores
  • Family
  • Friends
  • Work
  • Play
  • Finances
  • Housework
  • Cooking
  • Exercise
  • Social media
  • Hobbies

Reflect on what you want to do more or less of.  It all has a place but often we over play some areas to our detriment. Mindfully prioritise everything that is important.  How can you build these changes in to your schedule?  What needs to be in place in order for you to do this?  When will you start?
